Tashas opened in November 2023 in the new development at Prospect Way , Battersea Power Station . As the main contractor , it was WFC ’ s job to bring to fruition this stunning project , the first venue in the UK for the concept that started in South Africa in 2005 . Founded by Natasha Sideris , the brand is based on : beautiful stunning environments and engaging service . Tashas has a genuinely unique feel .
Interior Architect Neydine Bak , from architecture and interior studio Verhaal , worked with contemporary South African designers to create a bespoke artwork for the space ; a hand-embossed paper installation from artist Elonah O ’ Neill , designed to move with the breeze as the restaurant door opens . When I visited the site just a week or so before the restaurant opened , the last of the 1270 artwork components on gold wires were being installed by WFC operatives - with the utmost care .
Tashas is full of stylish detail with an intricate mosaic tiled floor , polished plaster stucco walls , ceiling finishes and antiqued mirrors . Riven timber wall panelling , again creates a unique finish .
