The Landmark London

THE LANDMARK LONDON COMPLETES £ 1.3 MILLION RENOVATION OF THE WINTER GARDEN AND GARDEN TERRACE WITH A NEW DEDICATED CHAMPAGNE BAR
The Landmark London has undergone an extensive renovation of its iconic space with a brand new food and beverage concept last month . Throughout the design , Alex Kravetz Design combined the best features of iconic grand hotels with modern elements to create a space that is both timeless and contemporary . The result is a perfect balance between tradition and innovation , ensuring that the Winter Garden retained its historic charm whilst remaining fresh and relevant .
The design concept draws inspiration from renowned glasshouses and grand hotels around the world , such as the Palm House at Kew Gardens , the Orangery at Syon House , and Longwood , making it a truly awe-inspiring space .
Fergus Stewart , CEO of The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company and General Manager of The Landmark London comments : ‘ These are iconic , standout and central spaces to our hotel and were incredibly important to get right . We wanted each space to feel approachable and calming to ensure the aesthetics aided guest experience . The result is fantastic and has completely refreshed the space . The Champagne Bar ’ s plant-lined gazebo is a particular highlight , and we ’ ve had many guests comment on how it brings the outdoors in as they sit under our iconic eight-storey glass atrium .’
A mix of artificial and live foliage and planting were added to the spaces and particularly to the Mezzanine level Gazebo , in order to further enhance the Winter Garden space with the full size palm trees .
One of the most exciting additions to the Winter Garden is the creation of a dedicated Champagne Bar at the Mezzanine level . This bar is designed to be a destination in its own right , offering a range of high-quality champagnes and other beverages throughout the day . The bar is also a flexible space that can be used for private functions , making it the perfect venue for special events and celebrations . With its large size and versatility , the bar can accommodate a wide range of guests , from small groups to large parties . Special attention was also given to the lighting of the space with consideration of different lighting settings using the latest dimming technology .
The colour palette takes inspiration from peacocks and palm courts , and features a vibrant mix of blues , greens , turquoise and gold as a palette . www . landmarklondon . co . uk
Dawn McCormack , Director of Accommodation at The Landmark London comments : ‘ I worked very closely with the Alex Kravetz Design team to create a lovely space that not only matched our ornate rooms , but that created a relaxing , timeless and iconic space to enjoy a luxurious glass of Champagne . There ’ s no place quite like it in London .’
