New for 2023 , Selman invites guests to live a unique experience through a personal development workshop where the horse acts as a companion to psychological and spiritual development , thanks to its ability to connect with humans .
The concept of ‘ Equitherapy ’ offers you the power to find your true nature through the teachings of the horse . Learn to live in harmony with nature and animals , but above all with yourself . Reconnect to your true nature , with the horse acting as a mirror to your soul . Be guided by this powerful , yet at the same time fragile , animal who will accompany you and lead you to understand your inner workings . This experience occurs at a cognitive level , but also at a sensory , emotional , motor and social level .
Equitherapy is known to help overcome anxieties , lack of confidence and can help with stress management and emotional control . The horse acts as a catalyst for development opportunities which can be transferred to everyday life .
The session will take place in a paddock with the horse , accompanied by a guide . The nature of the horse will be explained and some guidance on how to behave with a horse . The session will involve gaining the horse ’ s attention , building a relationship of trust with the horse , learning how to control yourself , your feelings and your stress in front of the horse amongst other activities .
A guided meditation will complete the equitherapy session , further enhancing relaxation , wellbeing and confidence .
Equitherapy takes place on foot , and no previous knowledge of horses or riding is needed .
