Scott ’ s Restaurant – Richmond - WFC CONTRACTORS LTD -

A recent project that makes us very proud , Scott ’ s Restaurant in Richmond opened in October – an absolute gem on the River Thames . As you would expect from a Caprice Group restaurant , there are glittering , exceptional , luxurious finishes throughout .
The fitout was to an existing building , over three floors , including an external terrace on the first floor overlooking the river . The Cantor Masters ’ design is a wonderful , eclectic mix of glass , mirrors , fabric , colour and art . It is sumptuous and classy but also feels vivacious and convivial .
A centrepiece Corian ® crustation display was made to match the original at Scott ’ s of Mayfair in Mount Street and is a piece of art in its own right . Corian ® is non porous and offers a thermal inertia that makes it ideal for holding the vast quantities of ice required to keep seafood fresh .
The fishtail mosaic floor tiling around the bar also echoes the design at the Mayfair restaurant , and to achieve the fullness of the corners , each individual , tiny tile was laid by hand by WB Simpsons .
The glass tiles for the magnificent columns came from SogniDiCristallo ®, 100 % made in Venice of traditional , handmade cast glass . The glass arrived , together with every single component to construct each column , together with a professional team . It was fascinating to watch the craftsmen affix each tile in place , like a jigsaw puzzle , and see the columns emerge .
There are 16 exquisite SogniDiCristallo ® chandeliers in the restaurant . Martin Field of TEI Electrical , responsible for all the electrical works on the project , reported he ’ s never seen quite so many boxes of lighting arrive for one restaurant project .
