LE MÉRIDIEN ILE MAURICE UNVEILS $ 60MILLION REFURBISHMENT
Le Méridien Ile Maurice has announced the complete reopening of the resort following a $ 60million refurbishment . Located in Pointe aux Piment in northwest Mauritius , and set on a kilometre of sandy beach , the resort offers 261 redesigned guestrooms and suites and an adults-only wing alongside a world-class spa and fitness centre , three pools and a choice of four restaurants and three bars .
The new design takes cues from the resort ’ s surrounding tropical landscape and guests are invited to connect with nature and soak in the sweeping views of the Indian Ocean . Using a sympathetic colour palette and natural materials to seamlessly blend the property with its natural environment , the design transformation begins in the lobby , which offers uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean and an open- air relaxation area .
Phytomer . In addition , guests can make use of a sauna , steam room , jacuzzi , plunge pool , five treatments rooms and a fitness suite , as well as a hair salon , relaxation garden and yoga studio .
A dedicated event space includes one of the largest ballrooms in Mauritius , alongside four break-out rooms and multi-dimensional outdoor spaces for large gatherings and celebrations .

The guestrooms are modern and minimal with a sympathetic colour palate of creams and blues used to seamlessly blend the hotel with its surroundings .
