A Reflection of Milton Keynes - HOTEL LA TOUR -

Post a £ 39 million pound investment , privately owned British hospitality company , Hotel La Tour , is set to open in Milton Keynes in April 2022 . The impressive mirror steel clad property , designed by PHP Architects , will feature 261 bedrooms , 14,000 square feet of flexible events space , a gym and a 14th floor restaurant and sky bar – Fourteen - offering the highest viewpoint in the county .
The striking property is set to become the first building to meet the Exceptional Developments policy in the Central Milton Keynes Alliance Plan , and to achieve a ‘ Very Good ’ BREEAM rating for sustainability .
Dedicated to enhancing and supporting the development of the town centre , economically and environmentally , Hotel La Tour ’ s modern build emphasises sustainability from the ground-up , the materials and facade design have been selected to reflect the surroundings , promoting the use of the park whilst reinforcing the city grid .
A 30m high , LED-lit stainless steel ‘ sun ’ design circle dominates the east-facing façade whilst a large sculpture , entitled Cycloidal Form by the artist Keith McCarter , will be placed adjacent to the canopy entrance .
The first floor of the hotel is dedicated to conferences and events with nine high-tech rooms all flooded with natural light whilst a dedicated and fully licenced wedding space includes access to a private outdoor terrace .
50m above ground level is the stylish all-day contemporary British restaurant , Fourteen , accessed by a dedicated glass lift that provides a a unique visual experience of Campbell Park and beyond .
Once in Fourteen Bar & Restaurant , guests can expect 360-degree panoramic vistas over Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire from two distinct areas - park side and ‘ city ’ side . Park side expresses the external form of the sweeping curve views with a minimalist touch . In contrast , the city side is given a more intimate feel with darker tones and large-scale feature lighting .
Dining areas are softened with on-trend pastel shades of velour , with a luxury carpet design playing on the circular motif . A large array of pendant lights , arranged in a series of circular configurations , flows throughout the dining space and builds on the connection with the park . An illuminated , curvaceous marble effect central bar takes centre stage whilst an open kitchen runs down the middle of the restaurant providing views of the chefs in action from all tables . Two balcony spaces for alfresco dining provide further opportunity to view the town from all aspects .
