The Victorian Cast Iron Radiator
The Victorian cast iron radiator from Carron
was first produced in America in the 1880’s.
Now reproduced from cast iron, using time
honoured sand casting methods, each section
is created to have a completely authent ic
finish. Although traditional in design, ideally
suiting a period setting, the Victorian has
clean lines and an understated design that
also fits empathetically within a contemporary
theme, particularly in a hand burnished
finish that allows the cast metal to be fully
appreciated. If you are looking for a radiator
with great versatility without restriction as to
the placement of each radiator, the Victorian
is an ideal choice. section ranging from 194 to 644 BTUs and
heights from 330mm to 920mm. Carron
radiators are hand assembled to order from
three sections upwards and for very large
radiators, can be delivered part built to
allow for easier installation. This means that
the radiators can be chosen to fit into the
room design rather than the room design
centring on the placement of the radiator
due to the practicalities of the room layout.
The versatility of the Victorian also allows
the same style of radiator to be chosen for a
complete renovation project giving continuity
of design and a strong feeling of authenticity
throughout.

and sizes the Victorian is offered in a 2, 4, 6

specialist finishes. When it comes to colour
choice, there are over 4,000 different
paint colours to opt for, including metallic
hammered effects and vibrant glosses.
Specialist finishes include hand burnished,
satin polished and antiqued to include a
vintage copper finish. To make a statement
and for added luxury, each radiator section
can be hand gilded with gold or silver leaf and
finished in an aged or Verdi Gris effect.
