Dine’s Contribution To The Community
Recognised By Shortlisting
Leeds-based hospitality and event planner Dine has
been shortlisted for its extensive work with charities in
a prestigious regional award.
TheBusinessDesk Business Masters Awards recognise
and showcase the achievements and success of
businesses in Yorkshire.
Over the last year, Dine has used its catering and
hospitality expertise to support several charities and
organisations in the region, principally partnering
with the Leeds Community Foundation (LCF) and the
Friends of Roundhay Park.
LCF connects philanthropists to make a difference
in Leeds. Dine is an active member of its patronage
scheme and provides financial and practical help to
organisations with which the LCF works.
These include the Real Junk Food Project in Armley, a
‘pay as you feel’ café which uses donated food to make
healthy fresh food accessible to all, as well as reducing
food waste. Dine donated a professional catering
fridge and equipment to set up its kitchen. In addition,
Dine provided practical help in the form of catering
consultancy for health inequality charity Zest for
Life’s community café in Gipton and cookery classes
for ReNew Leeds, a charity working with people
recovering from addiction. Most recently, working
with its suppliers, Dine supplied Christmas hampers
for some of the most deprived families in Leeds
through Kidz Klub Leeds.
Dine founder Daniel Gill and two Dine staff members
also completed the national Three Peaks challenge
last year, raising more than £2,000 for LCF and good
causes in Leeds.
Based at The Mansion in Roundhay Park, Dine
provides local charity the Friends of Roundhay Park
with meeting space for their committee meetings
in The Mansion. The charity works with Leeds City
Council to maintain and improve visitor facilities
in the park. Dine is also a sponsor of the Friends of
Roundhay Park calendar which raises funds for
park equipment.
Daniel Gill, founder of Dine, said: “We are delighted

that our contributions to the community and local
charities have been recognised. We are fortunate to
be in a position where we can give something back
and all of us at Dine are passionate about improving
Roundhay Park and the wider Leeds community. We
look forward to continuing our work with these and
other charities within the local community.”
Other charities and organisations that Dine has
supported include the RNLI, Safe@Last and the
Alzheimer’s Society.
Dine celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The
company caters for more than 100 corporate events
and 200 weddings annually, as well as providing
exclusive private dining.
The business provides event services for organisations
ranging from English Heritage and the National Trust
to the owners of some of the UK’s most notable
private houses.
