German Gymnasium, Kings Cross’s newly
launched premier dining destination and
cocktail bar introduces afternoon tea for the
first time.
Set in the the Grand Café, the quintessentially
British experience of Afternoon Tea has been
given a continental twist with a German and
Austrian inspired menu that gives a nod to
the iconic, listed buildings heritage that once
housed the first ever-indoor Olympic Games.
Set menu’s range from The Austrian, The
German and ‘Brotzeit’, a traditional German
savory snack, native to Bavaria. For those with a
sweeter tooth the tradition of ‘Kafee & Kuchen’
features a host of baked German and Austrian
delicacies such as black forest gateau and apple
strudel which can also be accompanied with a
selection of German specialty coffee served as
the clock chimes 4:00.
Afternoon tea is available from Tuesday 23rd
February, from 4:00 – 6:00 with prices ranging
from £8.00 - £18.50 per head.
