20 THE WORLD OF GOLFING ART BY BEX 50th ITALIAN JOB ANNIVERSARY ART by BEX Bex celebrates the iconic italian job anniversary with her exclusive signed artwork ART by BEX Time to forget Brexit and let’s go back to 1969 when the Mini was the star, the mini skirt was the fashion, and everyone wanted to be Michael Caine or to be exact, Charlie Croker in ‘The Italian Job’. “Hold on a minute Lads, I’ve got a great idea !” became the catch phrase we never forget, together with ‘Not a lot of people know that!’ Sir Michael Caine is our legendary British film star but even Sir Michael was totally out classed by the Real Star, The Mini, which hogged the limelight in every screen of ‘The Italian Job’. The Mini was now driven by every Celeb, Film Star and now we could all afford this British Icon ourselves. The swinging sixties came alive and we could all drive the dream; The Mini Dream. Unbelievably this year is the 50th Anniversary of one of the greatest British Films ever made – The Italian Job. How many of the scenes in the 1969 Italian Job film can you remember? Which would you say are the most iconic? Which scenes have never been repeated in any other movie? Which would you like to have driven yourself? Epic fun, timeless joy.
