THE WORLD GAMES 2022 : MEDICAL BRANCH ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
• The chief medical officer ( CMO ) provided oversight for all medical services across all venues .
• The World Games ( TWG ) medical director / liaison served as a non-medical liaison between the medical team and TWG Birmingham Operating Committee ( BOC ) and assisted medical staff with resource and logistical management at the venues .
• TWG venue managers were part of the BOC and provided the medical team with logistical support at their assigned venues .
• Each venue had a sports medicine director and an RN venue manager ( lead ) who were responsible for venue staffing and overseeing venue operations .
• Two spectator emergency / first aid physician medical directors provided oversight for all emergency / first aid volunteer staff at all venues .
• TWG Plaza was a non-sporting event location but had two spectator emergency / first aid locations staffed by medical personnel from 12 pm to 10 pm daily .
