This isn't my first rodeo. I've worked on a yearbook staff before, so I volunteered to take charge of the layout and design for this magazine. And I was excited to do so. Finding the software was a bit of a search, but getting to put together the rough draft of the magazine and then offering ideas for how to tweak the pages in the final stages was very enjoyable for me. I also got to write a book review and, while the book was awful, the experience was different for me. I really enjoyed getting to read the poetry that everyone sent us and search for prelimenary pictures that we could use. Images are not always something that I'm good at getting from poetry, but most of these were pretty easy to see. It's been an experience. It's been stressful. But it's been good.

The world is a driving force for art forms. One of the oldest, most mysterious art forms is poetry. Poetry intrigues me to think logically and it's always been a part of my life. From writing my first poem about candy to winning my first award ever for writing a poem about my father. The art of poetry is one that is hard to completely grasp but it is one worth learning about. I believe in words. It is through breathing of words that the world was made. I indulge in listening to poetry from the most passionate professional poetry readers to the children who can barely pronounce their words right. I enjoy listening to mispronunciation because it signifies perspectives. This is the world around me, listening, reading and writing, about anything that creation, man-made or natural, has to offer. As the staff writer of the magazine, I make sure the poems are connected to our theme and edited the writer's profiles. Also, the summary of the book "Charms against Lighting" was written by me.
