That city, the New Delhi

built to the South of the old capital city

new brew,

but rich in history, heritage and art

the Lotus temple, Mogul palace or the Fort

When the whole country sleeps like a baby

Delhiites wake up to the midnight street stalls

to the street vendors that sell their best Indian cuisine

and also escape the chaos of the day

pollution, traffic, population – so untamed

or the classy, expensive venues for the upper class crowd

vast circles of malls with expensive branded stores

and countless beggars on the sidewalk surrounding the mall

The widening gap between the haves and have-nots
