About fasting and almsgiving

Oh , you those who call themselves Christians and want to fast before the feast of My Resurrection listen : You may fast from food as long as you want in order to see your desires come true , those for which you fast , but if you do not fast from the lust after sin , and then from sin and from the woman for sin , oh , then all your sacrifice in your body is in vain . Oh , do not touch the woman if you want to fast , for behold , man can fast from bread , but he cannot fast from sin , and the devil has many victories because people help him very much .
And as for you , Christian women , listen : This is how sin has remained . First , it was the woman who sinned , and then she pulled the man down . If you want to fast , then you have to fast from food and from sins . The man does not have to be tested . The woman who wants to be good does not have to remain alone with the man in the room , for he can lose control no matter how holy he may be , and this because it is not good for the woman to stay alone with the man if this is not obedience from God and grace of great holiness and much work of Holy Spirit , which keeps away the spirit opposing to God and man . When water and fire come with punishment over the people , then these are less dangerous for the man ’ s soul than the woman , whose absence make people go crazy , and in no way are they afraid of this danger . Oh , I teach you like a Shepherd , I teach you what it means to fast in the time of fasting , for behold , it is held in churches the time for those who are asleep , who wait for this salvation when they mourn outside of the kingdom because of their lack of cleanness , and for the after-world you have to work with cleanness the whole sacrifice for them when you bring it to the altar to be remembered . The whole world of the Christians knows this , but still , is there anyone who wants to work like this , too ? I am saying this because many go and seek those who know that are clean to make them a prosphora , a little bagel , a koliva , or some food for fasting , but if they do not keep away from sin , then they bring this sacrifice in vain for those who cry after help from those on earth for them .
Oh , be wise , you those who are baptized with the Christian baptism , for I am coming and tending you to fast with instruction for fasting , for salvation does not come otherwise . Fast from the words , which are not as in heaven , fast from self-haughtiness and fast again and again , for these sins do not let you follow the Lord to the end or to the feast of My Resurrection . Fast from the sin of hatred , dissension , strife , arguments , for whoever sows dissension among brothers has self-love and sin for it . And , finally , fast from your desires , because the man ’ s desires fill him with discontent , and from those who are not content is taken even the little content that they may have , and it is not otherwise with the justice of all things , even if this does not suit man when it stands against the man injustice . I , the Lord , urge you to do the works full of mercy , to seek to work them and have them as you have mercy on the Lord , only that you have to receive My teaching , which I am giving to you today with much mercy . Amen .
