The Williamsonian Winter 2023 | Page 15

oping and updating new FRA regulations ; giving marriage awareness and Pre-Cana presentations to students and couples
Fondest Williamson Memories : Three memorable years with a great education , surrounded by learning opportunity every where I looked ; a truly great roommate ( that could never have been a better fit as we both had the same interests ); a beautiful campus and friends who have turned into life-long relationships . I might not have totally appreciated the experience at the time , but looking back , it was one of the high-water marks of my life . Three years of football and having a locker next to Bob Hopkins . The experience led to a lifelong friendship . Williamson dances and gatherings , lasting friendships with my classmates , and some really great teachers and coaches ( Stacey Cartledge , Glenn Stevick , and Ed Bateman ) who left an indelible mark on my life in so many positive ways .
Advice for Today ’ s Students : Carpe Diem . Life happens in a blink of an eye , so enjoy your education , experiences , and friendships . Follow your passion , wherever it might lead , you will be happier for it and will probably excel at what you do . Respect credit , learn how to balance a checkbook , save wisely , invest in retirement from the start , and purchase a starter home ( don ’ t wait for the perfect home ).
