2W7 Class Begins: The 124-members of the Class of 2W7 began their 1,000-day Williamson journey in August. [ With 97 seniors, the largest Williamson senior class ever, and 101 juniors, student enrollment, at 322, is the largest in Williamson history.]
The freshmen started with the 4-day First Year Experience( FYE) to get acquainted with the school’ s structure, develop friendships, become aware of cultural differences, and gain self-confidence and leadership skills. FYE also had community service projects and Outward Bound’ s high ropes course, designed to teach working together as a team.
FYE was followed by registration, orientation, and move-in day. Throughout move-in day, the freshmen were aided by Tom Heisner, Mark Specht, Bob Tarlo, and Jack Schweitzer of the Class of 7W7, members of the 50-year Affiliate Class Committee. The committee’ s role is to connect freshmen with members of the alumni class 50 years their senior to strengthen the connection between Williamson’ s graduates of yesterday and the graduates of today.
