CLASS OF 6W7
The Class of 6W7’s 50th anniversary celebration began Friday, June 2, at
Commencement when the class marched in the processional wearing gold
robes. Class member Joseph Diggins gave the invocation and President Mi-
chael Rounds had the group stand for a round of applause.
Their reunion, held that evening at the Concord Country Club, began with
a reception. Then, Rounds congratulated the class for reaching their mile-
stone, welcoming words were given by Steve Nash, an invocation was given
by Diggins, and a class toast was given by Bill Murphy. After dinner, Arlene
Snyder, vice president of institutional advancement, thanked the class for
their support of Williamson, presented 50th anniversary medallions to those

who had not yet received one, and urged them to support Williamson by join-
ing the Wanamaker Society. Fundraising Committee members Nash and Dig-
gins then announced they had collected an impressive class gift of $64,610.
Bill Harding led a moment of silence for their “fallen brothers,” class mem-
bers spoke of Williamson’s role in their lives, and Diggins closed the evening
with words of appreciation.
The next morning, as guests at the Alumni Day President’s Breakfast, they
were recognized. That evening, they were guests of the school at the Alumni
Banquet at the Porch Restaurant, and presented Rounds with their class gift.
As the weekend closed, many expressed a desire to get together soon.
