" I had been planning to propose for a while , so when we booked the trip to Europe for a friend ’ s wedding , the timing seemed too perfect . I had the ring made just before we left and planned to ask Katie with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop , for a moment she wouldn ' t forget . I stopped some passers by , who turned out to be two girls from Brisbane , and asked if they could take our photo . I managed to just about hold myself together to get my words out and she said yes ! We ' re both over the moon ! It was absolutely the best day of my life .”

“ We went on the trip together because as we all know , the industry is quite intense most of the time and when we ’ re focused and committed to our work , sometimes we sacrifice valuable time with family and friends . We took this opportunity to reset and recharge , as a few of us also spent some valuable time with our family members overseas at the same time .
" Although we see each other on a daily basis , we believe team culture is very important , and in order for us to continue performing and succeeding as a team we want to be able to build a stronger bond and relationship , so we used this opportunity to do so . Some of us went golfing together , we went to explore the city , shopping malls , sightseeing at temples , night markets and other well known places like Genting Highlands ( the casino in the clouds ). We definitely have a lot of fun together and we all enjoy each other ’ s company .
" We ’ re looking forward to the next opportunity to travel together and the only question we ask is where our next destination will be .”

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
It was only a few weeks earlier than the trip that Gavin discovered two remaining tickets to Elton John ’ s final ever concert in Stockholm , Sweden . Only a few minutes later airplane tickets had been purchased and tickets to Elton John were secured .
Gavin and Rachael made their own sparkling outfits to wear to the concert and on the highly-anticipated night of the concert the pair were tapped on the shoulder by Elton ’ s piano technician and invited to the front of the stage . It ’ s here where the duo spent the final half of the set dancing next to Elton John , even being gifted the drummer ’ s drumstick at the end of the performance .
" Ultimately the in-and-out trip was quite expensive , tickets to Elton John alone were over $ 7,000 but the flexibility in hours and financial freedom that working in this industry , and working for a company like Ray White means rewarding experiences are always prioritised . Money can be earnt again but memories will last a lifetime . And this is the type of memory that we will talk about for the rest of their lives ," Gavin said .
