Why / how did you start doing auctions?
I always knew that I wanted to be an auctioneer when I first started in real estate. Being able to provide our owners with a full service was very important to me.
What ' s the best advice you ' ve ever received about managing an auction campaign?
It ' s not about finding the buyer, it ' s about gathering as many bidders as possible.

Why are auctions such a big part of your business?
Put simply, they return the highest price possible for our owners.
Why / how did you start doing auctions?
Definitely the encouragement from auctioneer Alex Pattaro. I didn ' t believe they would work in my market, however I was willing to give it a try as I was frustrated with properties constantly‘ falling over’.

Consistency and communication is key- providing weekly vendor
reports at the same time each week with price feedback.
What ' s your biggest auction day tip?
Hustle- encourage people to register and to have an opening bidder. High energy is paramount.
Why are auctions such a big part of your business?
It ' s structured and it ' s my point of difference in my market, especially online auctions. No one else does it and the media loves it so it’ s marketing for free.

Why / how did you start doing auctions?
I used to work for a completely different brand when I first started in real estate and their business wasn ' t auction driven, it was a strong private treaty model. During that period that I was working for them when I had clients wishing to auction I ' d really panic and get completely stressed out because I didn ' t know what I was doing.
I made the decision to join Ray White so that I could learn the art of running auction campaigns. They were the only group that I looked to join as we were, and have always been the market leader in auction success. No other brand compares.
I joined Ray White Wilston the year they won the Best Auction Business for the Ray White Group. We ' ve consistently been in the top 10 auction business in the state for as long as I can remember.
What ' s the best advice you ' ve ever received about managing an auction campaign?
The great Phil Parker has been a vital mentor for me and has provided so much support over the years. I know we ' ve all heard this but the best advice I could offer is " stick to the process ".
What ' s your biggest auction day tip?
Breathe and have confidence that you ' ve done the work to achieve the best outcome for your clients.
Why are auctions such a big part of your business?
For me it’ s the clarity for the owner to know that they have absolutely secured the best price in the market.
They ' ve had the time to receive offers, listen to the feedback and know that when they make the decision to sell they are selling to the premium buyer.
Why / how did you start doing auctions?
I started doing auctions very early in my career back in 2011. It was a big change for the neighbourhood I was focused on as most homes at that time were being sold‘ by negotiation’ or‘ deadline sale’. My mentors taught me how to build a great auction campaign and soon the neighbourhood started to notice that my process was working really well.
What ' s the best advice you ' ve ever received about managing an auction campaign?
I do recall in a tougher market, my first one bidder auction. My auctioneer at the time showed me how I could still sell a house via auction with one bidder. As market conditions fluctuate,
I remember this, as in tough markets auctions become the finite date that a buyer works towards to close on a property. It opens the door to the negotiation room where both myself and the auctioneer can negotiate for the vendor.
What ' s your biggest auction day tip?
Make sure you connect with all the buyers you’ re helping towards coming to auction and make sure they feel comfortable and that every question they have has been answered.
Why are auctions such a big part of your business?
It’ s the safest, most effective way for my vendors to sell their properties- the sale is unconditional. It creates a timeline for me to effectively build competition around their home, understand price, with a planned sale date to strategise around.
