RAY WHITE ' S MATCHMAKER
BY SHANNON COOK
Love was in the air in February for Valentine’ s Day when Ray White senior data analyst Atom Go Tian from our economics team stole the media’ s heart with his analysis of the top suburbs across Australia and New Zealand with higher ratios of single men to women and vice versa.
The Ray White economics team, led by chief economist Nerida Conisbee, have continued to position our group as one of the foremost property news voices in Australasia. And you couldn’ t go far that week without seeing or hearing Atom’ s name in the news!
Atom’ s story uncovered Lakemba in Sydney as a“ Bachelor Paradise”, while Double Bay- Darling Point in Sydney was a hotspot for single ladies. The report went viral with Atom appearing
on 7 News across Australia, his name was in print, online and he was even coming to us from the airwaves.
In New Zealand, Atom found Christchurch stood alone as the country ' s " Bachelor Paradise," while Tauranga presented the most striking imbalance of all major cities, with only 82 men to every 100 women.
The icing on the cake, or chocolate on the strawberry if you will, was the Channel Seven spin-off segment“ Love in Lakemba”, where they tried to find love for a lonely Lakemba man on Valentine’ s Day.
