Tell us a bit about your current role ?
My current role as Marketing Manager at Ray White Mildura involves overseeing all marketing activities for Ray White Mildura , including digital marketing , advertising campaigns , branding initiatives , and client communications . It also involves collaborating with sales agents to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote properties and generate leads . I manage the creation of marketing materials such as brochures , flyers , and online listings to ensure consistency and quality . I also analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation . We build and maintaining relationships with media outlets , suppliers , and marketing partners to maximise exposure and impact . I work closely with Managing Director Damian Portaro to implement new strategies and ideas to grow the business .
How did you get into this field ?
I was in my gap year after finishing high school and I saw the opportunity to join Ray White Mildura as a sales associate , at the time I didn ' t know much about the role or the industry but after meeting with Damian Portaro I was able to learn about the role , the company , the industry and the vision Damian had for Ray White Mildura . I was fortunate enough to be hired as a sales associate and learn from all the departments to get a better understanding of how everything works , before eventually moving into marketing and now managing a team .
And what do you love about it ?
Being part of a collaborative team and working closely with sales agents to achieve shared goals . Witnessing the tangible impact of marketing efforts in driving property sales and contributing to the success of the business . The dynamic nature of the real estate industry , where each day presents new challenges and opportunities for innovation . The opportunity to blend creativity with strategy to effectively market properties and connect buyers with their dream homes .
What is the biggest lesson / your biggest tip that you learned in your career ?
• Importance of adaptability and staying abreast of evolving marketing trends and technologies .
• Emphasising the significance of data-driven decision making to optimise marketing strategies and achieve measurable results .
• Prioritising communication and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment .
