Over the past two months , a number of regions across the North Island of New Zealand experienced weather events that have impacted people ’ s homes , businesses and lives . The effect on communities has been significant , with many of our own offices and members being heavily impacted .
At the beginning of February , Auckland and Northland had bore the brunt of an unexpected deluge which caused widespread flooding .
Our network was quick to respond to the needs of the community , particularly in the area of property management , looking after displaced tenants and properties themselves for absentee owners , assisting with emergency accommodation , as well as lending a hand with the clean-up effort .
