Nuggets of gold from our Leading Ladies

BY NINA CLARKE
In July 2022 we set out to host a monthly webinar with inspiring women across all facets of real estate , to help satisfy the desire of our network to learn more and hear candid , open conversations with interesting women . The series has been such a success with thousands tuning in collectively . Make sure you register every month for an hour of power .
Sonya Treloar , a fixture of the Australian real estate community , was interviewed by Kelly Tatlow , CEO of Ray White Concierge and leading lady in her own right . Sonya wrote $ 3.5 million in gross commission last year , and arguably most impressively , just celebrated her 1000th sale of her 12-year career . She is hard to miss as well , recognised for always donning bright pink , something that has become part of her brand . When she decided to make her foray into the real estate world 12 years ago , she wrote a letter to each person who owned acreage in Bridgeman Downs . Sonya said she started to identify very fast that it was all about relationships , and still maintains doing four calls per year to her database through Ray White Concierge .

Our favourite takeaways :
• People do business with people who they like and trust . It is pretty much as simple as that .
• Every single open home that we host is identical ; I am very clear about the expectations of my team and the high level of which we represent ourselves .
• Always be kind , have empathy , be brave , and be willing to help people ; it is not always about the dollar .

Our favourite takeaways :
• Clients are actually incredibly understanding when it comes to being family-oriented and they respect that .
• I conquered that fear of auctioneering and I am so glad that I did . Most of my campaigns are auctions , so I am really able to gain a deeper understanding of the whole process .
• This job is wonderful ; you learn new things every day from your clients . Every day and every interaction is a new lesson .
