Many of those members own homes and offices had sustained significant damage in the same event .
In mid-February , a national state of emergency was declared , with specific reference to the areas of Northland , Auckland , Tairãwhiti , Bay of Plenty , Waikato and Hawkes Bay , in preparation for the arrival of Cyclone Gabrielle . With the exception of some pockets , both Auckland and Northland largely did not feel the full impact of this event , but it has devastated parts of Gisborne , Hawkes Bay and the Coromandel Peninsula . Communication , for the most part , was very difficult for a few days after the weather event , as power , internet , and mobile connectivity had been completely cut off from these areas . There were also issues around roads and water supply . country have been in touch with our team and those impacted directly to offer their assistance .
We ’ ll continue to learn of the longer lasting impacts of the events as time goes on , as many suspect the repercussions will be with us for some time . Our team remains available to offer assistance and support to those members and their communities in need and our thoughts are very much with them .

Seeing the images , reading the stories and listening to the events within these communities gives only a small indication of what many of us can only imagine would be so difficult . We have also , however , been reminded of the generosity and support of our members as salespeople , business owners , administrators and property managers from across the
