MANSFIELD MARATHON
Keen supporter Matt Daly from Ray White Mansfield is excited about the upcoming Mansfield Marathon on 29 May .
Organisers are hoping to attract between 300 and 400 participants to the run . Race director Liam Delany grew up in the region , before returning to live in Mansfield just over a year ago .
During this time he ’ s thrown himself into building up the local athletics club and making the dream of Mansfield hosting a marathon into a reality . Matt Daly and the entire Ray White Canavan team have thrown their support behind the run as the major sponsor providing prize money for the marathon , with male and female place-getters in first , second and third all walking away with cash rewards .
SOUTHWELL SHOWTIME AT THE ROYAL CANBERRA SHOW

As a sixth generation Southwell to the area , George certainly has an extensive knowledge of the Canberra region and its people . George ’ s grandfather , Mack Southwell was the president of the Royal Canberra show in 1975 and the family have had an association with the show ever since .
George took the opportunity in his stride and has created video episodes called ‘ Southwell Showtime ’ where he interviews vendors , competition participants , patrons and experts in various industries from horticulture to cake baking . George ’ s family and personal connection to the region is something he is deeply proud of .
FUNDRAISING EFFORTS
Champion fundraiser for the Ray White Home and Garden Tour , Tony McPherson of Christchurch ’ s Ray White Metro , was invited to Ronald McDonald House at Christmas time for a special presentation to receive one of the sought after Ronald McDonald House South Island tiles on behalf of Ray White Canterbury .
Designed and painted by the children , these tiles are awarded to special businesses , organisations , and people who make substantial contributions to the home .
The Ray White Home and Garden Tour raised a total of $ 117,000 for Ronald McDonald House South Island , with Mr McPherson raising more than half the total funds , a whopping $ 59,500 .
