The White Report | March 2022 | Page 15

Ray White agents ’ productivity and earnings increased by 30 per cent in 2021 , and these excellent market conditions resulted in our business owners achieving an average profit margin of 18 per cent from their sales business ( excluding principal sales and property management ). The group ’ s property management rent rolls maintained a 21 per cent profit margin in the year but the real positive was how many sales came from the rent rolls . This saw gross losses increase
however the business as a whole was better off for the sales .
Interestingly , fixed overheads or ‘ desk costs ’ increased in dollar terms but dropped to 18.5 per cent of revenue which meant three per cent fell to the bottom line . These benchmarks provide great insights for all Ray White business owners and help drive growth and improved financial results for all our owners .
Luke Richardson has more than 26 years ’ experience as an accountant . He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2000 .
His team was born out of the GFC , when Luke spent his days helping franchise owners navigate tough financial decisions . With the family ’ s backing , the profit team was created at this time and has quickly become one of the fastest growing specialist teams at Ray White ever since .

RAY WHITE NEW ZEALAND NEW BRAND AMBASSADOR

Three time Olympic gold medalist Hamish Bond is really looking forward to establishing a long term partnership at Ray White New Zealand .
The retired champion rower and road cyclist has joined our New Zealand network as our newest brand ambassador . Hamish took home the Olympic gold in the men ’ s pair at London 2012 and Rio 2016 , before leading the men ’ s eight to gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games .
Hamish will be our brand ambassador for the next three years in New Zealand .
There are certain synergies between business and sport and what I appreciate about Ray White is their solid values and desire to bring benefits to all those whom they transact business , with and to all those that trust their careers to the ‘ Ray White ’ name .
Auctions have been central to our most sacred of duties - to create competition for our vendors and achieve the best results for them . Our commitment to auctions has been one of the most important reasons why we have become market leaders throughout Australia and New Zealand .
This new auction recognition program has been designed to recognise those members who continue to uphold this commitment , and has been named in honour of the late Tony Fountain . Tony lived and breathed our auction mission during his time with the Ray White Group in various capacities throughout Australia . He strongly believed in the importance of auctions for our national expansion , and as our point of difference in the Australian real estate market .
Tony was a relentless auctioneer , described by Ray White Chairman Brian White AO as a “ legend ”. He practised as an agent for 52 years and held several positions within the group , including national chief auctioneer . Over his career , Tony estimated he had conducted more than 35,000 auctions across Australia , New Zealand and Indonesia .
The criteria for Ray White members ( individual agent ) to qualify for the Tony Fountain Club during this current period of 1 March 2022 to 31 May 2022 is as follows :
