Milestone Moments

One of the most wonderful ways to bring another year to close is to express my pride in our new level of auctions we conducted across Australia and New Zealand . To think we are known to be so close to 25 per cent of all auctions is a wonderment ! No other group is within half that number .
People often ask me : “ Whitey , why has your company done so well ?”
THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE ANSWER :
Our consistent belief in the massive advantage the auction process brings to a group . The belief didn ' t recently begin ; it began at day one . Many of you will have seen photos of the original Shed from which Ray White began his business in the country town of Crows Nest . Need proof of his deep belief ? Just look at the photo of the regional business and see how prominent the word “ auctioneer ” is under the Ray White name .
It continued on to the next generation where , as a child , I remember my Saturday mornings doing duties for my father as he conducted his list of auctions for the weekend .
Here is a photo of my father standing on a stool in full voice with the two young boys in the foreground , my brother and I , as we took the sales sheets to the administration team . It was the most exciting day of the week .
And so , today , we have countless high performing and auction agents in the group . The wonderful thing is , the percentage of our listings we take to auction is still climbing . What a powerful future we have in our hands .
