What are your favourite holiday traditions ?
These have morphed since moving to New Zealand and having kids . It used to be music , mangoes and food in Darwin where I grew up but has become :
• Family gatherings with kids and cousins , plenty of music ( according to my partner , I am the Christmas DJ and he is the Grinch ).
• The kids love a Kiwi Jingle Bells song / book , family christmas PJs ( worn throughout the year whenever possible by my five and seven year old ) as well as a Rubble Reindeer ( PawPatrol ) T-Shirt that my five year old continues to wear despite outgrowing it two years ago and a Kiwi / Aussie Pavlova made by my mother in law for me each year , purely for me to eat for breakfast ... and not shared with kids ).
• We now do the Elf on the Shelf ( the kids love it ) - and after they saw Ray White ’ s Little Ray at our office a few days ago they went straight home looking for their elf at home . I had to remind them that ours doesn ' t arrive until December .
• A 12 day " Christmas book '' countdown for the kids .

Move over Santa ... the big man himself is out and Ronny , our fur child is in . The annual " Christmas pic " is done a little differently .
What ' s your 2024 New Year ' s resolution ?
To be the healthiest version of myself and spend more quality time with my family .
What are your favourite holiday songs or movies ?
Year after year , in the lead up to Christmas in the Keevers household is all about ' Home Alone '... the best Christmas movie ever we think ! The original comedy movies Home Alone and Home Alone 2 ( Lost in New York ) get watched on repeat . I LOVE these movies ... as do the kids .
What ' s your 2024 New Year ' s resolution ?
To make more time to read , exercise , travel and spend time with the kids ( before they grow up and don ' t want to know me ). We might even buy a few kayaks for some coastal adventures at our new place on the Tutukaka Coast .
What are your favourite holiday songs or movies ?
The Keevers clan Christmas photo featuring Ronny .
There is no one song at this stage but there are plenty of off the wall " Christmas " songs on our playlist that get everyone ( including the kids ) dancing like ' Dance Monkey '.
I also like playing a lot of the classics like Frank Sinatra and other crooner Christmas songs ( it ' s the only time I can get away with it ).
‘ Rocking around the Christmas Tree ’, ‘ The Christmas Song ’ by Gregory Porter or Nat King Cole and ' All I Want for Christmas is You ’ by Michael Buble .
And then there is the Dave Matthews Band ’ s ‘ Christmas Song ’. It ’ s just a beautiful piece of music .
