THE BLOCK WASH UP

There was no end to the drama on this year ’ s ‘ The Block : Fan vs Faves ’, but Ray White Cheltenham director Kevin Chokshi kept his cool , taking House # 4 all the way to second place and netting Love Island stars Luke and Josh Packham a cool $ 530,000 profit .
The 10 Bronte Court , Hampton home sold for $ 3.93 million to a Sydney investor who relied solely on the inspection videos shot by Kevin and his team . She saw it , loved it and registered only days before the auction .
While the judges slammed the house , with the boys only winning one challenge , Kevin was quick to say that “ you never know how an auction is going to go till it happens ,” and quoted our favourite chief of strategy ( real estate ) Mark “ Macca ” McLeod who tells us that as long as the bidders are there it will take care of itself .
And the bidders were most certainly there , with all the major players including Block veteran mega buyers and buyer ’ s advocates Danny Wallis , Frank Valentis and Nicole Jacobs attending . The home also had the highest number of registered bidders and was the second most viewed listing from The Block ever .
The Packham twins took some big swings during their campaign including changing the floor plan by making over the garage into a master bedroom and building a very Bali-esque outdoor bath and shower . All decisions that Kevin said really impressed potential buyers . Now the dust has cleared , Kevin is eager to leverage his new celeb agent status and said it ’ s been a great positioning tool .
“ They think ‘ well The Block used him , why wouldn ’ t we ?’ We were underdogs who were never tipped to come in second and nearly win the block but we did .
“ My team knew our product , our service and well curated moments were by far the best and we have had some incredible feedback .”
As for the cheating scandal ... what happens on The Block , stays on The Block .

It just adds another layer to it . When people see this success on such a big scale , it adds more social proof .”
