It starts by finding your breath. Just taking time to connect with your inner being and becoming aware of the quality of your breath is a great place to start. Catching up on sleep and resting the body and mind is also a great habit to get into during the holiday season. If you don’t take time to restore yourself, you can not be expected to have the energy to restore others. Also, taking some time to just be still and quiet is a great gift to give yourself during the holidays as so much time is filled with song, conversation, laughter, and expressions that a little silence will bring in some balance.
If this interests you, consider joining Kelly McCann and Stacey Doll for a Meditation, Yin, and Restorative Workshop that will melt away your holiday stress and leave you feeling uplifted and rejuvenated. The workshop will include tips for finding balance and peace during the holiday season, Guided Meditations, Yin and Restorative Yoga postures. Meditation helps us deepen our connection with ourselves, others, and our environment as we learn to access inner strength and let go of patterns that no longer serve us. Yin Yoga strengthens the connective tissue and bones in the body, brings energy to the subtle body, and trains the mind. Restorative Yoga works to relieve chronic stress and fatigue through gentle, supportive postures where the body can relax and be at ease.
