2025 MASTERS OBEDIENCE JUDGE
MRS . SHARON ANN REDMER of Whitmore Lake , Michigan . Mrs . Sharon Ann Redmer entered into dog sports with an All-American shelter rescue she trained at the Ann Arbor Dog Training Club to ensure a solid recall . Her passion for training and competition grew , leading her to acquire her first Belgian Tervuren in 1971 . This sparked a lifelong dedication to the breed , as she and her husband , Ed , established StarBright Tervuren . Their line has produced over 150 champions , including National Specialty winners , all-breed Best in Show winners , and versatile dogs excelling in conformation , obedience , and agility . A longtime advocate for Belgian Tervuren , Mrs . Redmer serves as the Judges Education Chairperson for the American Belgian Tervuren Club , is a lifetime member of the Ann Arbor Kennel Club , and has authored numerous articles on her beloved breed .
With over 40 years as an obedience judge and more than 30 years in conformation judging , Mrs . Redmer is approved for four groups — Herding , Working , Sporting , and Non-Sporting — along with several Terrier breeds . Her judging assignments span five continents , including National Specialties and prestigious events in countries such as France , Germany , and Australia . In obedience , she has judged multiple AKC Obedience and Rally Championships , including the inaugural RACH Invitational in 2024 . At Westminster , Sharon has a rich history of service , having judged the inaugural Obedience Championship in 2016 , the Herding Group in 2022 , and multiple breed assignments . The 2025 show marks her fourth assignment at Westminster .
