Dennis Dao Shadow Hunt Looking down from the towering skyscraper and into the darkness of the city below, Rei puzzled over his thoughts trying to make sense of what has transpires only moments ago. He recounted the moment the blue sky turning black and the rural country side face into, where he now stood, the large cityscape. As he sat panicking over his thoughts, a sound of a girl in her teens, blonde hair and dresses in blue tank top and jeans. In her hands were two short swords, Blue and gave of the feeling of ice, to her side was a gun attached to her belt, and a third and smile short sword attached behind her. She looked at him, studying him for a few moments. When she no longer felt he was in danger, she put her blades away and smiled. Rei couldn’t help but smile back at her. He carefully stood up, careful not to fall, and placed out his hand in pleasant greeting, the girl stared at him for a moment before shaking his hand in hello. Rei gave her his name and her to him. Nina. The name stuck in his head. As the pleasantries began to fade, questions began to flow in his mind. So many things he wanted to ask her about. What happened, how did he get here, why did she have weapons, where is here, and the questions continued. However, before he had the chance to ask anything, a loud siren went off. Grabbing Rei’s hand, nine pulled him toward the edge and jumped, pulling him along. Nina landed on her feet with Rei in her arms screaming. Nina dropped him to stop his screaming than pulled him along again. Whatever was going on, Rei was beginning to realize that it was going to be a very long time before he could see his normal life again. Dennis Dao 11
