top tips
1. Look at the budget first and work
back from there. It’s no good falling
in love with a venue, then realising
it’s going to break the bank to have
the wedding there.
2. Decide what’s important. For
us it was flowers, food, wine and
venue. Cut out things that are not
as important to you - it is after all a
day about the two of you.
3. Choose a venue that reflects you
as a couple. A big industrial space
might be perfect for some people,
but if it’s not you it’s going to be a
massive challenge trying to style it.
4. Look after your guests.
Umbrellas for if it’s hot and water
to keep them hydrated. Don't make
them wait hours for you to return
from photos - they are there to
celebrate with you so try to keep
photos close by.
5. Get more photos with your mum.
Mums are often busy hosting and
as you are too, your paths don't
cross nearly enough. My mum
looked so beautiful but we had
hardly any photos together.
