Love Story
Meeting at university, Abie and
Dilshan were together for three
years before getting engaged, “The
proposal was something that I
could never have imagined. Dilshan
took me hot air ballooning in the
Yarra Valley, then for morning
tea at a chocolate factory. He used
the excuse that we had both been
insanely busy with work and hadn't
spent quality time with each other
in ages. I didn't think anything
of it as he has always been quite
thoughtful.
On the way back to Melbourne,
we stopped at a winery. A girl who
worked there said we were welcome
to take a look, even though it was
closed that day. We came to an old
barn, where Dilshan had a picnic
set up. As we sat there he gave me
a present - a custom made ‘Where's
Wally?’ book. Instead it was,
‘Where's Abie and Dilshan?’
