“We love the romantic, whimsical look, but our day to day style is very
classic, so we had to combine the two. The whole inspiration for the design
details of our wedding came from getting married on Fourth of July
weekend. We definitely had an Americana theme – instead of having red,
white and blue as our colors, we toned it down to blush, ivory and navy
blue.
Instead of a cake, we did cake pops that made up an American flag. The
cuisine was American comfort and there were stars on our escort cards
and table numbers. We sewed table runners and pillows for the décor,
made our own table numbers from wood slices and purchased gold
chargers. We also used around fifty framed photos to decorate.”
