moment

“
how would you
describe your style
of photography?
I look for the moments that
stand out to me, reflecting
the kind of love that I
believe people would hope to
remember for the rest of their
lives. Weddings are a happy
time, so I search for that story.
“
Announced by the Australian
Institute of Professional
Photography as one of the top
three wedding photographers
in the country, we had the
pleasure of chatting with the
eloquent and affable Tom Hall.
Here he shares an insight into
his work and tips for getting
the most out of your wedding
photography.
Weddings are a happy time,
so I search for that story.
what do you
most enjoy about
capturing weddings?
I’m under no illusions about
how privileged I am that I can
go to work and experience so
much love, beauty and joy on a
daily basis. Very few people get
to work without noticing the
time going by, or even go home
with sore cheeks from laughing
so hard. It’s such a great job!
do you know when
you’ve captured the
best shot of the
day?
More times than not I’ll want
to scream a “Yes!” while I’m
shooting, but sometimes
when I’m at home I’ll discover
something that I didn’t
notice on the day and find
myself punching the sky with
excitement!
