Greetings New Brighton
It’s been a long cold month but Spring is
just around the corner.
There are some really good things
happening in our village this month. The
new playground starts development on the
water front, and is planned to be finished
around Christmas time this year! Have a look at page 4.
If you haven't been in to Virtual Visionz and had a go with their amazing
virtual reality headsets and driving simulators, check out our support local
business article on the next page. I had a go a few weeks ago and it was truly
an amazing experience.
I also found in my wanderings this week Calypso Cafe in the Barn, 121
Brighton Mall, is under new management. I popped in and met the owners
and was impressed with their community spirit and enthusiasm for being a
new business in New Brighton. Along with coffee and cafe food they run
Hangi Heaven, a wonderful range of traditional Maori food that customers
pre-order online or by phone and then pick up or dine in. I look forward to
seeing how they make the space their own in the coming months.
You can find them on facebook Hangiheaven
All the best, Martha
