A website to showcase the Businesses, the Community Groups, the Sports Clubs, and the Events within the greater New Brighton area – includes North New Brighton and South Brighton. Asking all businesses and groups within the above area to ensure they are on the site. If you see you are already on the site but it is a generic listing contact Soozie at newbrightononlinenz @ gmail. com to make the necessary changes or if you need help to register or would just like to talk about the site. We will be testing the efficiency and monitoring the popularity of the site up until November – after that we will be giving you the opportunity to stay on the site and subscribe for $ 29.95 pa. Please note – the site is currently under undergoing an upgrade and there will be a few changes and greater user friendly options, this is expected to be completed by the end of April, giving you 6 months to gauge its efficacy. During this time the website will be heavily promoted.
New Brighton Boardriders Club
To encourage young people to take up and enjoy the sport of surfing, coaching, running contests. The main contest is the Canterbury Surfing Champs at Brighton, weekend closest to Waitangi Day, 6 Feb.
Contests: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month Clubrooms, New Brighton Beach, Marine Parade, Christchurch, 8083( based under the southern access ramp to the New Brighton Pier)
Junior: $ 10; Open: $ 20; Family: $ 30 Eligibility:- Basic surfboard riding ability, can swim Application to the club via friends or at surfing events

Have-a-Go at Indoor Bowls For our senior community Every Tuesday from 11am-1.30pm at Aranui / Wainoni Community Centre
No experience necessary and all abilities welcome. Come along and try it out.
