Dead End Derby ' s next intake is starting soon and we want YOU to join us !
Thinking of joining our next fresh meat intake but want to find out more first ? We ' re holding a meet and greet / information session Sunday 28th May from 5.20pm to 6.20pm at Cowles Stadium on Pages Road ! Come along , ask questions and meet the coaches ! Better yet , you ' re welcome to stay afterwards and watch our skaters scrimmage from 6.30pm onwards ! So , if you ' re been keen to skate but not sure if it ' s really for you ? Come along to our open skate session on Sunday 4th June from 4 to 6pm at Avonside Girls High and give it a go before Freshmeat starts ! This is a great time for you to prove to yourself you can stand up on skates , meet some league skaters , ask any questions you might have about roller derby and just have a great time skating with awesome people ! Entry cost will be $ 5 per person ( to help cover venue hire !) and $ 5 to hire gear . With league skaters , officials ( skating and non-skating ), recreational skaters and junior derby skaters ( for those aged 8-17 ) there is a place in our league for everyone ! Fancy doing battle with the Dead End Derby Christchurch Rollergirls off-skates ? Dead End Derby ' s Living Dead Rollers are hosting a quiz night . It will be a fun filled night of laughs , games , spot prizes and of course plenty of quiz questions . All you ' ll need to do is get a team together and register your interest at deadendderbypr @ gmail . com or by messaging us on facebook by June 19th . Places cost $ 10 each or $ 50 per team . If you register by 28th May you will go into the draw to win a free entry for your team . We ' ll see you at Sixty6 on Peterborough on Thursday 22nd June at 7pm ! There will be raffles , merch , games etc so make sure to bring cash as there is none out at the bar .
