The Wave Issue 73

the WAVE Issue 73, April 2017 published by New Brighton Project Inc. Greetings New Brighton T his month we have some serious business to attend to as a community and I hope all of you will make sure you participate. Submissions for the Draft annual plan for Christchurch are open until April 28th. The only suburban highlighted project is New Brighton’s hot salt water pools. Question on Submission form: “Do you agree or disagree with Council’s proposal to provide a further $11.2 million for the wider development of the Hot Salt-Water Pools project, to help ensure the project links with the wider regeneration of New Brighton?” This opens up the funding of the Hot Salt Water Pools to a higher level of ‘objection’ than we, as a community, were perhaps prepared for. So what can we do? If you would like the hot salt water pools project to go ahead then you need to add your voice to the conversation. You can do this by filling in the form here https://ccc.govt.nz/the-council/have-your-say/consultations/show/3. Or you can pick up a hard copy from the Library. There will also be a simplified form available at the Seasideside Market and around the village. Keep an eye on New Brighton Project’s facebook page for updates.
