room for one night, totally free. Most innkeepers will give their free rooms away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 so veterans can wake up at a B&B and enjoy Veteran’s Day activities on November 11th, but offers do vary. Some innkeepers may offer more free nights – this will be noted in their descriptions — and other innkeepers may offer different dates. It’s up to the individual participant.

All veterans and active military interested in participating in B&Bs for Vets must show proof of military service in order to qualify for free rooms. Please review the FAQs for a list of the kinds of military IDs you will need. Additionally, all cancellation policies will be in effect at participating properties. Thus, vets and active military may be asked for a credit card to hold the reservation, and in the event of a no-show, the inn/B&B’s cancellation policy will apply.

We offer this site to Vets as a search tool for locating participating B&Bs. And as the Voice of Innkeeping, we proudly thank our veterans for their service to our country.

In recognition for your service, the B&Bs for Vets program is happy to reward deserving veterans with a chance to stay at one of America’s beautiful B&Bs.

Why an innkeeper participated in B&Bs for Vets

I felt the Military should be honored and thanked by more than mere words that are easily said. And their SPOUSES needed to be thanked for all they did and went through supporting the Military half of the family. KP

Seeing true gratitude! When that happens, my gift of sharing seems so small compared to the gift they gave us, protecting our country.

Some innkeepers have gone above and beyond!

After participating, I have decided to give one room away every month along with a dinner for two. I draw a Veteran’s name on the last day of every month. I am grateful for the opportunity to help. MH

Form great memories and humbling experiences . . .

Our highlight was just to see the bonding of these men with their stories. They chose to have breakfast at 8:00am and they were still sitting at the table at 12:00pm. We had one Navy, two Marines, and one Army. They were so supportive of each other, it was humbling to listen to them… KP

Each year it is such a joy to share our family and our thanks for those who have served our country So many different branches of service- different ages and different walks of life. All come around together around the breakfast table.

We had an amazing stay and felt very pampered both nights. The snacks, drinks, wine and cheese and the hosts were extremely accommodating. … Without the B&B for Vets program, we never would have discovered this gem! WE will absolutely be back. M&R A
