A new docu-series commissioned by the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), called Checked Inn, provides an up-close and personal look at the innkeeping business at Akwaaba’s Mansion at Noble Lane in Pennsylvania’s Poconos Mountains.

The reality show is set to air before an audience of potentially millions of viewers, in prime time on Saturdays, starting this fall. “It provides a look at everything wonderful about our industry,” says Monique Greenwood, the Mansion at Noble Lane’s owner and CEO (chief enjoyment officer).

While Monique cannot tell us too much about the show, she says there’s lots of magic – and drama – that takes place at the family-run inn. Vibrant and passionate, if Monique isn’t whipping up tantalizing meals, serving tea or tidying up, you will find her chatting with guests. “Add therapist to the list,” says Monique, who often finds herself giving relationship advice to couples in search of rekindling passion. “I absolutely love what I do.”
