70th birthday (some birthday present)! I can
still get about and do most of the things
someone of my advancing years should
want to do. So I just get on with things,
taking each day as it comes.
Using shed-loads of tissues is, in my
humble opinion, a small price to pay for my
continued existence.
Plugged in and switched on
It’s years since I had my trachy, then
lary, and I have come to terms with
my predicament. It’s really not so bad,
other than a painful neck with restricted
movement; I am able to get on with my life
much as I did before.
I was surprised to find just how normally
I’ve been treated, which was definitely
an aspect that was worrying me initially. I
thought I’d be looked on as some sort of
freak. It was an eye opener to hear that so
many people profess to know someone in a
similar situation.
I always try to be cheerful and make
light of things, not seeming to take it too
