Speed Sessions
Franchisees and Suppliers alike enjoy
the Speed Sessions. It is the annual
opportunity for Gold Level SPN Suppliers
to have face to face, informal conversa-
tions with existing and potential customers.
Owners respond every year in our after-
event survey with comments about how
much they get out of these interactions.
They love learning new ideas from
Suppliers that support their members
and business and they tell us that they
often come away with new information
that they did not know about a suppli-
er or their product. Conversations that
begin in the Speed Sessions often carry
over to our Cocktail Party and into Day
Two at the OC. Our Speed Sessions are
the foundation of many relationships
between the franchisees and suppliers.
Guest Speakers
Pete Moore was our esteemed guest
speaker this year. He has been a friend
of the GGFA and Gold’s Gym franchisees
for many years. His passion for the
brand was evident in the message that
he delivered at the Owners’ Conference
this year. He has amassed a knowledge
of the fitness industry that is unmatched
and has a pulse on trends and expected
outcomes. Pete had time for open
discussions and Q&A with franchisees
and joined us at our Cocktail Party
Monday evening.
“Since 1999, I have been involved in the
Gold’s Gym family and believe firmly that
the market is swinging back towards what
the Gold’s Gym DNA represents which is
RESULTS, STRENGTH and CONFIDENCE.
The logo is iconic, the history is legendary
and the growth trajectory is poised for
success with the right approach and the
appropriate capital behind larger franchi-
see entities. I encourage everyone to
look at how Planet and Orange Theory
are expanding...it is with institutional
capital, not personal guarantees and
local bank debt. Join forces and build
out larger territories and the results will
be apparent very quickly. I have faith in
the brand and that there will be 1,000+
domestic locations with strong regional
power players. We look forward to con-
tinuing to be a part of the story.”
