CORPORATE
update
Franchise Partners,
It was great to see many of you at convention this past week. I hope you
and your teams were able to take back a lot of key learnings that will positively
impact your business. We made a lot of exciting announcements in Vegas:
• Gym membership purchase
through Amazon
• New 10,000 and 15,000 square
foot models
• Puma / Gold’s Gym global
collaborative apparel and
athletic shoe
• Re-launch of national corporate
sales and wellness
• Gold’s Amp being added to Fitbit
And of course, the launch of our
new stand-alone boutique concept,
Element 79. But as we were reminded by several of you, talk is fine – we
must deliver. We completely agree. The good news is that many of these
initiatives are well down the road (Amazon, Puma, Fitbit). The smaller
footprint models are nearly complete and by the time you read this, we will
have layouts/equipment schedule/elevations completed and ready for your use.
Element 79 will require more time to prepare for launch. While there is a lot
of excitement around the concept, we need to make sure we get the technology
and programming right. You only get one chance to launch – we need it to be
spot on.
I want to thank the franchise committee who was actively involved in the re-
search and design of Element 79. Our thanks to Don Murphy, Bryan & Kristi
Murphy, Lori Lowell, Dave Kenyon, and Brianne Schaffer. This is the first time
(ever, we think) that franchisees were asked to help create a program along-
side of corporate. We couldn’t be happier with the result! We will continue to
do more collaborative projects like this one.
I look forward to seeing you all at the GGFA Owners’ Conference in NYC.
