I took up photography as a hobby a number of years ago, I used to buy photography magazines and try to copy the various techniques displayed, most of the time very badly! I used both film and slides, remembering sending away the slide film and waiting with huge excitement to the results back, sometimes with little success! But I kept on trying, learning as I went on, photography magazines were a huge inspiration, and still are.
