Whether or not you have received some outstanding “call” that you think would put your name in Christian lights, the fact is that you already have a decision before you: will you accept that you have been chosen to bring God glory? Will you rejoice in what God does, and believe that His promises are true? Like Mary, that response is what is most important—not a misguided desire for spiritual recogn ition, but a genuine desire to lift up the name of our God and to proclaim His excellence. “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” 1 Peter 2:9 (ESV)
