GOD WITH US

There’s a calling of Christ on your
life. It’s been whispered down
through the ages by Jesus Himself.
The Bible contains a poignant prayer
spoken by Jesus for all His disciples,
those who were walking with Him at
the time and those who did not yet
know Him (that’s us). He said, “I do
not ask that you take them out of the
world, but that you keep them from
the evil one…I do not ask for these
only but also for those who will be-
lieve in me through their word…”
(John 17:15, 20 ESV) All those years
ago, when Jesus walked the earth, He
was already thinking about the people
who weren’t even born yet who would
serve Him with their lives.
Scripture also tell us that God has
works for us to do which He thought
up beforehand for us to do (Eph.
2:10). I don’t know how long ago
“beforehand” was, but the point is
value has been placed on your life by
your God, and one of the evidences
of this is that He has specific things
in mind for you, things that will most
definitely make a difference in His
kingdom.
Some of us know specifically what
the things are that God has called us
to, while some of us are still trying to
understand what those things may be.

been created to bring glory to our
God. In a thousand different ways,
whether big or small, we have been
called to glorify His name in every-
thing we do. The size of the task does
not matter. It may be washing dishes,
making supper, sponsoring a child, or
writing a book. When done for our
Savior, even the ordinary becomes
extraordinary.
What are ordinary days? Each one
is God-given and something to cel-
ebrate. I believe that many young
people in today’s world are waiting
around for the big moment when
