My husband and I moved from Pennsylvania to California a year after we were married . We have now been here 5 years . It ’ s hard to believe sometimes that we have been here so long . Yes , we came here as missionaries . But the truth is , we were missionaries in Pennsylvania as well . Our lives are a lot the same as when we were there . Sure the weather is warm all year and we don ’ t have leaves change color and if we want snow we need to drive north an hour or so and if we want we can hit the slopes and the beach all in one day . It ’ s pretty cool if I do say so myself . But you know we are the same people that we were in Lancaster . We still have the same weaknesses and the same strengths . We relate to people here just the same as there . We have the same ability to build each other up or tear
