RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS
Backpack hanging from my shoulder, I
boarded the airplane and scanned the rows for
a seat. Soon I noticed an empty aisle seat next to
two young ladies. I quickly discovered that they
were glad to have me next to them instead of some
creepy guy! Throughout the flight, we chatted about
jobs and college but eventually landed on church
and the Bible. I asked them, “So do you think that
God talks to us?”

I wonder about you. Do you think God talks
to you? Do you know that Jesus wants to come over
for coffee? He says, “Behold, I stand at the door
and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the
door, I will come in to him and sup with him, and
he with me.” Okay, so maybe he didn’t mention mo-
chas or frappuccinos, but that sounds like an invi-
tation to a heart-to-heart chat! Is it possible to talk
with Jesus like that – sharing your heart and hearing
his?

I want to invite you to cherish Jesus and
open your heart to intimacy with Him. I’m a little
nervous to talk to you about this because I realize
over and over that I have so much to learn on this
topic! Yet, in spite of my weakness, Jesus has taught
me some things about knowing him that I’d like to
share with you.

Do you have a life motto? If I had to pick one,
I would likely choose the phrase “all for Jesus.” My
